Can't say for sure just yet (do you read the story?) but somewhere in the 80's is when this exact scene with happen.

Ahhhh. Yea, he's obviously not a man of many words so there's not as much of a point in him showing up very much - but he'll be pretty important very soon in Jane's story and they'll be meeting in person sometime during the 80's, chapter-wise.
