Description
Even in abandoned places flowers still grow.This place has long been forgotten, left to decay. The building is akin to her soul, abandoned, unloved, alone. Yet it's in situations like that we can grow the most, even without realising it. If you take everything out, new growth will come. Those little shoots can grow unimpeded. Our tears watering them, and one day they will flower and bloom.
This is the next piece in Paige's story after and This comes after she's been rejected, is alone and has her own thoughts for company, she has a long way to go, but these beginnings are small but good
She has much longer hair here than in 'real' life, symbolising that shes been in the building a long time and has experienced all the progression along with it.Much credit and appreciation to Ben Cooper, who's photo I used as reference for the background. I've been inspired by his urban exploration photography, and would like to work on more backgrounds and scenery. I urge everyone to check out his site: transientplaces.co.uk
I put so many hours into this, and I have to say I'm pleased with the outcome, it was fantastic fun to work on something different and I've learned a lot I will apply later
I'm kinda nervous to see if people will like it

This place and setting......... I know it's supposed to be lonely and abandoned, but..... It somehow gives me a sense of peace. Like a glowing light that you could sit by, in the midst of a never ending dark....... It's in a way unknown and scary, but at the same time quiet and serene.

I think i understand just how this building is left to be abandoned and not cared for is how she feels and relates to it so it's a really deep feeling for her. Don't doubt if people wouldn't like it. Your art is beautiful and you truly have a talent. The place is so beautiful looks a garden display and the water to me seems like a portal to enter another dimension.

Your work is so inspiring to me! I can relate with a lot of these emotional drawings that you do. I have been diagnosed with psychotic depression, which can be very stressful and disappointing sometimes. My everyday life makes it worse. These hopeful pictures of yours give me faith for a better life, better situations, better understanding. I am deeply misunderstood, and your pictures make me feel like I am understood.
