Yes it is a whip. She's a warrior, and that is her weapon of choice. This will be a Christen Fantasy story, so it's not suggestive in the least bit.

Thank you. She actually uses both the whip and a dagger to fight. Jaxin, the man in this lovely picture, is a farmer just now learning to fight with a quarterstaff.
