you know your soul is dying when you use the same diagonal back-and-forth panels as the last page, dammit past me for getting lazy with the roughs!

i swear my more, uh, complex backgrounds will be back soon enough. i have a nasty habit of making my stories' climaxes so character-focused that the environment becomes secondary. like if i drew out chapter 15 of null and void, it would contain a gorgeously dilapidated casino followed by "i dunno, fire i guess." nevertheless, i am certainly running the creative juicer on high for both these characters, and i'm having a delightful time rendering expressions and poses to go with the script i wrote in... april? man, time flies huh. let this be a lesson to you comic-type people: roughs and script are the most important thing ever. sure, you can tweak both a little bit, but especially a bad rough can screw you over from day one. honestly, the only things i'm really tweaking about the script are dialect things. you know, trying to make the characters sound less clinical and more like cartoon characters having a bad day.

jeez, why did i rant about creative process for so long. maybe it's cause two-day updates are back at it again, whittling away at my carpals slowly but deviously. nevertheless, i hope you all are enjoying what i'm putting out, this here is the coup de grace thanks for your support (especially you lovely commenters, you never cease to make my day), and i'll see you later this week!
