Meiko and Meicoomon (Digimon Tri)
I loved the second OVA! (after much waiting was worth it 
I wanted to draw these two new characters, but was not sure how. I keep waiting for something interesting with Meiko,
her personality seems empty yet. However Meicoomon seems to me lovely *_*

I agree that Meiko seems a little empty, and although I still don't mind her, when I remember that first PV of her under the bridge in the shadows, I can't help but think that she knows more than what she is letting on, or she'll end up being one of the antagonists. Either that or she is incredibly naive. Only time will tell, it sucks we have to wait til September for Part 3 though.

Yes, I also thought she would have a mysterious personality. But it's just too shy and naive.
In addition, this last OVA she had a lot of unnecessary role, because they have not told us anything new about her. On the other hand, Joe had little role. I hope that things will change and her character become more interesting.

I do believe she is more than that, or at least I think she will be in later movies. I don't think that one mysterious scene of her was placed there for nothing in that one PV last year, and I'm hoping this is the case because Meiko being shy and naive the entire time will get boring. I personally didn't mind it, I guess her parts were unnecessary to balance out so they could develop Meicoomon before the big reveal at the end. I suspect she'll get minor development over the remaining movies that actually reveal something about her. I'm especially interested to know how she really knows Maki considering Maki smiled when stuff was going down at the end.

I think the same as you. Meiko is still flat as a character. Thing is, the series is 21 episodes long but we are 1/3 of the way and she hasn't stood out. Meicomon on the other hand, was showcased enough for us to have a reaction to what happened in the end.

It would be interesting to see what happens with Meicoomon now that is antagonistic. But I see Meiko only blushing all over. I hope this will change and she has something interesting to show to the next ova.

So far Meiko is Hinata without any purpose. At least we knew everything Hinata did was because she was inspired by Naruto. Meiko shouldn't be a copy. She has to be her own character. So, i hope they don't pair her up with a "Naruto". I've seen people wanting her to be with Tai
