2001 Dodge Super8 HEMI Concept
Passenger Priority Design

Borrowing cues from Dodge trucks and sport-utilities, the Dodge Super8 HEMI is a reincarnated all-American sedan with a tail stance that enhances viability, comfort and space, as well as ease of entry and exit for both drivers and passengers.

Confident, expressive character lines accent the Super8's side view. Its chiseled body and tall stance proportions suggest exemplary handling and stability substantiated by a long wheelbase. A prototype 5.7 V-8 engine delivers an estimated 353 horsepower and 395-lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a four-speed Autostick transmission.

Designed with passengers in mind, American sedans of the past have primarily been defined by their spaciousness and passenger comfort. This design utilized panoramic seating for driver and passengers, allowing higher seating to give them more of an in-control feeling compared to other sedans. In addition, rear seat passengers sit higher than those in the front, creating an automotive form of theater seating.
