i like how the feeling of "everything melting into each other" is here.. like "life" is simultaneously being created and destroyed at the same time

XD it's a direct give away that you have the word Life right in the drawing! ... i'm kidding about that.
besides the soft edges, it's because of the hands. the part of the body humans use to both bring forth creation and destroy what exists.
today, looking again, i feel a gentle, sad, fondness from this picture (;n;♥

oh, interestin' idea, and it suppose that ones can finish unfinished forms and convert them to something of this world, adding connections to 'reality' by own minds and bodies...i think 'god' this way is very similar to elementary particle in scientific terms.
