Bagoas (not the lover of Alexander the Great) was a eunuch who became the grand vizier of Persian king Artaxerxes III, and his favorite. Despite the fact that he was a eunuch, he was a great warrior and military leader. Also, vizier Bagoas became the de facto ruler of the Persian empire.
