Description Juliet's PoV
    My mother checks her watch, slapping her knees and standing up, looking down at me with a expectant look. "My end of the bargain is filled, Juliet. Now you've gotta do yours."

    I roll my eyes, sighing at my mom. "Do I have to, Mom? Can't you and Dad entertain Amy and Chanel?" I whine, immediately getting an agitated look from her. I pout, "Nevermind."

    After shooing her out of my room, I pull on a pair of nice jeans and a tee reading, "DON'T JUDGE ME BY MY LOOKS: Judge me by the foot that is currently up your ass." I thought it was always appropriate for every occasion. After that, I open my door and walk down the stairs slowly, until my dad yells at me to hurry up, then I do so.

    I see Chanel sitting next to my spot at the table, her goat horns slightly poking up in her outrageously curly hair. Her green eyes were slightly angled at the corners, eyeliner making them seem more exotic. To be honest, she's actually a really nice girl, and I only dread seeing her because I may or may not have a small, teeny tiny crush on her. I know, it's weird. But she's really gorgeous. She was more human than goat, so she had human feet and legs, but her legs would get really hairy really fast, so she'd have to shave every day. More than once she has complained to me about it.

    Her eyes turn towards me, and when she sees me staring, she turns them down to the ground, slightly blushing. I blush too, catching my mother's mischievous look as I sit down. Amy, on the other hand, grins outright, her teeth showing.

    "So, ah, Juliet, how's life been treating you?" Amy asks, stabbing her fork down into her lettuce. My little brother bites into his little kid cuisine like he's a dinosaur, making growling noises like he was playing. "Nice shirt. It encompasses your personality."

    "Pretty well, actually. And thanks, Amy." I say, biting a piece of chicken off of my fork. "Mom was actually telling me about her life. We have this project at school to ask our parents about their pasts, you know, to get to know them better. So far, mom got to the part where you save my dad from getting hit by a car."

    The older satyr grins, putting down her fork and steepling her hands on the table. "Yes. If it weren't for my idiot brother, you might have not existed. Now, Ocean, Nico, did you tell your lovely daughter about when her mother arrived at Camp?"

    My mom rolls her eyes, allowing them to change into a deep brown color. "First of all, Emil, what have I told you about playing with your food?" My brother immediately drops his nuggets, frowning. "Second of all, no, I did not. I got to the part where I was knocked unconscious because we crashed into a huge dracaenae. Those things are nasty, nasty creatures."

    "Why don't you continue, dear friend of mine? I'm sure Chanel would love to hear a bit more about you. She speaks of Juliet literally all the time. Maybe this'll help her shut up."

    The said satyr blushed scarlet, looking down at her hands. My father's mouth quirked up into a small smile. "Ocean, I think Juliet would want to hear from my side of things."

    "Alright, Nico. Just hurry up. You're so boring at times."

    He stuck his tongue out at her before beginning to talk. "I had seen the car crash..."

~~~~~Nico's PoV
    ...and I panicked, trying to hold the dracaenae back with my sword. Oh man. I had heard what happened to Grover on his first demigod-fetching expedition, and when one of the campers--Thalia--died, in some way, he wasn't trusted until he was sent to protect Percy with Chiron. If it happened to Amy...well, in short, she would be screwed. I mean sure, the other girl was obviously important, but I barely knew her. At that moment, she was nothing to me but another soul that my father and possibly I would have to deal with.
    I ran past a dracaenae, cutting its arm off as I ducked underneath it. Reaching the car, I saw the damage. Amy and Grover had managed to get out, but the girl--Ocean--was trapped by the door. Her arm was crushed and she was unconscious. Not good.
    "Nico! Get Ocean out of the car, NOW!" Amy called to me, standing up and holding her reed pipe flue, "We'll keep you covered." She began playing a few notes, managing to get the vines entangled around several of the monsters' throats, suffocating them until they turned into dust. "GO!"
    Surging forward, I pulled with all of my strength to get the car door off of Ocean's arm. Her eyelids began to flutter, and when they opened, I saw that they were a deep purple color with hazel specks in them. She saw me and frowned, her eyes not quite focusing. "Adom?"
    "No. Not Adom. Nico." I grunted, pulling her up, "Does your arm hurt?"
    She blinked. "Actually, no, it doesn't. Is it supposed to?"
    "Maybe a fracture. I don't know." Turning to talk to Grover, who was helping is sister, I yelled, "How far to Camp?"
    He didn't even glance at me, "A few more miles. If you shadow-travel you'll be fine!"
    I pressed my lips into a thin line, focusing on the shadows, coaxing them to take me to my home. "Hold on and don't let go," I muttered, grabbing Ocean's shirt tightly, "it's gonna be a bumpy ride."
    At first, she gave a yelp as the shadows transported us to the intended location, leaving us at the bottom of Half-Blood Hill. A bit of strength was take from me as the shadows drifted away, back to wherever they came from. Ocean was swaying on her feet, looking a lot confused, "Where are we, Adom?"
    "I'm not Adom! Now come on, we've gotta get to the top of this hill."
    "Adom, I thought you were gonna bury be when you kill me?"
    I looked at her, seeing tears well up in her eyes, "Are you crazy? I have to take you up there! You're obviously delusional! Come on!" I called on the shadows again, grabbing her uninjured arm and holding her to my chest so she wouldn't run. I silently told the shadows where to go, and off we went, to the entrance of Camp Half-Blood.
    When we arrived, Rachel was there to greet us with a smile, but then her smile fell, seeing Ocean's condition, "We need nectar and ambrosia fast. Get some campers to help Grover and Amy with the dracaenae problem. Get Kaia and Will for me."
    And off the Oracle went, yelling at campers to armor up and find the two satyrs. Luckily, both Kaia and Will were nearby, talking in the infirmary about how Kaia should stop starting fights with the Aphrodite cabin. I looked at both of them, still holding Ocean. Will's eyes widened when he saw us, rushing over and gently taking her from my arms.
    "What happened, Nico?" The son of Apollo asked, setting her down on a cot. She was sweating profusely, her eyes half-open with a fevered sheen in them. She kept muttering something about Adom. "Kaia, get me some ambrosia and nectar."
    "We were in a car accident on the way up from Pennsylvania. A horde of dracaenae attacked us. Her arm was pinned down by the car door, but I don't know why she's acting up."
    "Do you know how she was raised?" he inquired hurriedly, making a splinter for Ocean's arm, "Kaia!"
    "Calm down, Will. I've got it right here." The daughter of Poseidon answered, handing the healing food to him.
    I watched as it all happened, sort of amazed at Will's speed. Will and I had dated for about a year after the Titan War, but then we broke up, knowing that we'd be better off as friends, or better yet, acquaintances. Yes, I'm gay. More bisexual, really.
    "Nico, answer me! How was she raised at home?"
    I blinked. "Oh. She was actually abused. Her foster father shot her in the stomach when she was five, and they were actually in a fight about two nights ago. She had a large bruise on the side of her face, but it's gone already." I said, getting a head shake from both of the demigods in front of me.
    "It's sad, really." Kai muttered, leaning back. "Will she be okay, Will?"
    "Yes, but she'll be a bit hysteric for a while, so we might as well go and help Amy and Grover while we can." He grabbed his bow and arrows, meanwhile Kai just went without a weapon, relying on her water powers to defend herself. I ran out after them, but not without taking one last glance at Ocean.
    She was still pale, a shiny sheen of sweat on her forehead. Her lips were parted, but she was breathing through her nose. There was something about her...I just couldn't tell what it was. Pressing my lips together, I drew my sword and ran after the small group of campers going to fight the dracaenae. By now, they were at the bottom of the hill, and everyone was fighting them. I could see Kaia and Percy fighting side-by-side, as they usually did, being half-siblings after all.
    By the beginning of the evening, all of the monsters were gone. Grover and Amy had been checked over in the infirmary, passing the test. Ocean was still feverish. I volunteered to look after her since she was powerful enough to draw a little over a hundred dracaenae from the depths of Tartarus. In the middle of the night, there was a loud roar on top of the hill. Everyone in their cabins walked out, confused and highly annoyed at their disturbance of sleep. I walked out, seeing Drew in her stupid green face mask thing, smirking to myself. Annabeth walked next to me, looking for Percy.
    "I haven't seen him all day. Oh well. How's the new camper?" she asked nonchalantly, like it was the middle of the day and not the middle of the night.
    "She's fast asleep. Did Amy already tell people?"
    "About what?"
    I shrugged. "That's for the girl to tell. It's a sore topic for her."
    Beth opened her mouth to retort a smart comeback, but her eyes landed on something behind me, and they filled with tears, pushing past me and walking slowly to whatever it was she was looking at. From a distance, I saw Piper running towards it. I turned, my eyes widening in shock.
    Right there, right there in front of me, was a huge, bronze dragon. Climbing off of it was someone that I felt die.
    Leo Valdez.
    He's alive.
