Courage is written on your heart. By sharing your secret, you've showed it. Thank you.

Courage is not being unafraid. Courage is recognizing the fear and pushing past it to do what is right. That tattoo should serve as a constant reminder that you have the ability to be brave and to overcome your fears.

It wasn't supposed to have mystical powers^^ Not that you maybe believed it that way, but it's funny how sometimes you can do something which seems so huge...and that you feel it would help, but in the end it didn't do squat. :-/

But you know, just because you don't see a change doesn't mean other people haven't. Sometimes it's really hard to critique yourself.

The tattoo isn't suppose to give you courage, it's suppose to REMIND you that you need to bring up some courage from inside you and do it. Just like it took your own courage to get a tattoo, use your own courage to get over whatever struggles you have.

Sounds like when my ex carved the word courage into her wrist. That didn't give her any, either.

Then how about getting "hope" tattooed?

You can do it. I think surviving each day shows you have courage.

I could used some courage too.
Now I think I also want a word tattooed on me too, in the future. It's a good start, as fluzzyamber also said C:

I could use courage as well, and I've got tattoos!

However, I found that picking symbols or pictures that give me strength help me more. I look in the mirror and see the fleur de lis that I have (and that my two best friends have as well) and I know I'm not alone; and when I see the Japanese crest (feudal warlord's crest, to be specific), that gives me just enough to get through the day.

/two cents

You got a tattoo?

You're braver then I'll ever be.

It depends on what you define as courage.

there are a thousand acts of courage committed every day that will never be catalouged as the action of heroes. there are people who face the world as little as possible and for whom the act of going to the grocery store is a monumental feat. there are children who deal with their worst fears every single time they get onto the school bus and face another day where no one cares about them and the bullies are always waiting.
