Being gay is not a sin! If you truly believed that God loves everybody unconditionally, then He would not shove them into hell for loving another person, no matter what their gender was. He would love them and treat them like He treats all of His children.

Unto thine own self be true, my friend. If your Dad really would hurt you, get out of there. You are who you are and you shouldn't be ashamed and your "Dad" has no right to punish you for it. Stay strong and be true to yourself whatever it takes.

A friend of me falls for girls and men but he doesn't dare to tell his parents that he likes man as well because of his parent believing in god. When he told me why he couldn't. I told him that he should wait until he finds the one he want to stay with for forever. (or at least the one he loves) and if it's a guy he should go to his parents on that moment to tell them. He will be save and if he ever falls for a girl he should just drop it.
But I think it should be the same for you wait until you find the one. Then you need to think and take the steps by going to your dad/parents.
And also except who you are. Your not the only one that's gay or lesbian.

simply put, you are what you are and that cannot be changed. Learn to be happy with the person you have grown to be cause no matter what, you are special and unique in a way that no one else in this world can be. If your father is the type of closed minded bigot who would rather cause harm to his own flesh and blood rather than accept you for the beautiful HUMAN BEING you have grown into, then he doesn't even deserve to know of the wonderous things you will accomplish in your life. It will be his loss and in the long run, even if it may hurt and terrify you now, you will be happy and he will pay for throwing you aside for something you can't change. If you are truly fearful of being hurt by him, you need to leave that situation. Negativity poisons the soul and you are too beautiful a soul for that. Stay strong.

God created you with the knowledge of who you are. He knew you were gay when he had you in mind. God being an all knowing and loving father would never disown you and damn you to hell for being who you are. Don't be ashamed of who you are! Never live in shame, it will get you get you nowhere in life.
Also, the bible was a book written by men with the idea of God in mind. Many churches work to make it more accessible in this day and age. Many things said about the bible are based on varied interpretations of people who are afraid of change. This was a factor during the time of slavery, according to many, the bible said that those of color were beasts and not to be treated as human. Therefore you can't take all that is said by these people to be the root truth.
I grew up in the church, but I've learned that you are who you are. Fighting to keep that back will only result in depression and self loathing. Please don't suppress yourself because you are afraid of your father. Be strong in the face of ignorance. Who knows, maybe your father will surprise you with his acceptance.

Jace, I'm bisexual myself so I've done a bit of research on this. If you read the bible it says things that are not considered sins today, that were considered blasphemous in the olden days when the bible was written. Things such as these:
Leviticus 11:7-8
And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
This basically says that it's a sin to eat anything that has a hoof that splits. This means that if you've eaten bacon, you've sinned... and I will never evr give up bacon xD
Leviticus 19:27
Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
This means that you can't have a rounded haircut... or else it's a sin.
Exodus 21:17
And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
If you've ever sworn to your parents, you should be killed... pffth, I don't think so.
Also, homosexuality as a sin was never said straightforward by God or Jesus. Someone said it, but no one of the Trinity. So what I'm trying to say is that, you shouldn't be scared of God just because you're homosexual... your dad, well I don't know him but I really doubt that homosexuality matters in God's eyes anymore. I wish you a wonderful future~

It's not bacon, its what was in the bacon and the nastiness of the swine. They weren't pigs, they were swine that literally ate garbage and were full of parasites that live in the meat. Also, this particular law was made optional in the New Testament.

God can't help you. Nothing should make a father want to hurt his child in any way, and if you feel threatened by your father, you need to get out. Your sexuality is a part of who you are, and who you are is beautiful. You shouldn't want to die because of it, and no one should make you feel like that is a rational thought because it isn't. I don't believe in God, and this is one of the reasons why, I don't believe in what he believes in. You wanna know why? I'm bisexual.

Maybe because I don't center my life completely around that one fact about myself and don't feel the need to have everyone know my business constantly.
It's not really hiding as much as just living life and not having to be like "Hey I'm gay did you know I'm gay I'm gay really I'm gay have I said I'm gay yet well I'll say it now I'm gay"
Sure, you gotta lie if someone asks and you still wanna hide it, but just say "nope" and go back on living life.
