this will always stay with you, which I'm sure you know and feel; but it will only be a scar.
the wound will heal, with time, and you will love again, because obviously this wasn't the person you were meant for, if it hasn't worked out.
despite your promise, you will find someone you'll never get enough of, and that you can't keep yourself away from with all the ties, past loves, and broken promises... of the world.

I know how you feel...
I know it is miserable and you feel like you will never ever get better. Like you will never be able to love again/another. However, don't make promises that are unrealistic. Someday, you will hurt less... you will walk with your head a little higher... You will start to heal... and soon after, you will see someone across a room somewhere and you will find them enticing... and you might not be completely over this... but thats when you will know you will be okay. Don't make promises you might grow out of.
