I know exactly how you feel. It took me almost twenty years to finally open up, and even though I'm far more trusting than I used to be, I still feel that guilt, every single time.
You're not alone, dear. But remember, while it may be easier to keep your pain to yourself now, you'll only be hurting yourself more in the future. Reaching out is hard, but sometimes simply knowing that someone else is there to listen can make a world of difference.

if they truly care about you though then they'll want to help, and they won't be dissapointed in you, the pain that's there is the pain for a friend, it means that you matter enough to them for your hardships to concern them. I understand its terrifying to open up to people, but if you don't you'll just end up pushing this person away too and be alone all over again, and they'll fade to only a memory.
