this is so true! (At least for me) I always practice and keep trying, even though I know I suck. ^^

I feel the same way really. But I keep practicing, don't give up, just keep pushing yourself, join groups, get out and talk to people.

If you love "all of the above" the favourite the stuff you really love. Make you favourites as eclectic and unique as you can. Enjoy the fact you enjoy it. People might enjoy that collection too.
I can't claim to be top notch either, I'm jealous of friends who do somehow get time and ideas and I don't get a creative spark - I'm just technically proficient. I try stuff to learn a skill and once I've achieved something I'll normally stop doing it and move on.

I'm not very good either, but I get pageviews.
You have to put yourself out there, comment on a ton of other peoples' work to get noticed.

Drag a camera around ST! I'm not a god photographer, but now and then I catch a wonderful shot! You never know when an opportunity will present itself. Luck is a big part of good photography, and its something fun, because you can and will improve, and start to get an eye for things to shoot.

Natural talent alone does not make an artist.
The best artists are made of two things. PRACTISE and SOUL.
Soudns to me like you already have one, and will get plenty of the other. So go forth and flourish!
And I bet people would like to know who you are, to go and check you out!

The main thing is to be confident in your art. Everyone is talented in there own way, everyone can do art, it just depends how they show it, there are many other ways to do art, i know that for sure, but unfortuentely I have nothing coming to mind, I am the same, I have the ideas but cant put them to paper, when i try it turns out wrong

I know how you feel,
but most of the time artists are usually great at their work because it's 90% practise, and 10% talent.
Why don't you try practising something that you like? Then ask for feedback so you can get some constructive criticism and then work on it again. It's a good technique.
Also, it takes time for people to recognise your work. Just give it some time and I'm sure you will get noticed more.

important to touch other people's l i f es,
but
most important - feel the v i b e, the l o v e you put in it.
i love it all, too.
nobody loves my work, either.
together we'll feel the vibe, okay?

make everyone feel it!

I feel that way a lot, as well. =/
I would love if I could draw better.
And have people look at my art, like I look at theirs, and say "Wow! I wanna be like her some day!"

Y'know what? I've seen so many people start at basically nothing, then practice and practice, or just doodle for fun.. but people get real good in such a short amount of time. I know you can do it, and anyone can if they keep at it and try new things to make it work better.

This is exactly how I feel.
Add music to the list though.
And I feel like I'm never going to have a successful career (that I enjoy) because I'll never be good enough at one of thoes things, and being good at all of thoes things is simply out of the question.

give it time, you will get recognition one day!

I know how this feels.
But yes, practice makes perfect. There are a ton of amazing artists on this site who don't get the attention they deserve. But there's also a state of mind, you see..."Whether you believe you can, or you believe you can't, you're probably right." So, work on improving, and sometimes you can even find people who'll give you great advice to do so! But especially continue no matter what if it's something you enjoy doing, no matter how much attention you get.

Most of the people I get comments from are always on about my art when in fact I'm trying to become a writer, yet nobody looks at my work there. It's kind of my own fault for not having that many stories or poems there but regardless...
I think if you want people to be stunned they have to see your work first, and for that, you need to advertise your page for people on the forums and whatnot.

I can't really draw either. Most of the stuff I draw doesn't come out the way I intended it too. But that doesn't mean you can just give up.
I just keep on going. You should do the same. No one draws beautifully the first time. Photograph/draw/paint/write your ass off until you're pleased with the result, and you will be happy you invested your time and money into something you like to do.

Practice makes perfect.
Choose one, and invest some money into one, because sometimes having nice equipment motivates you to learn more and get art you're happier with.
