Me too, ST, me too. I'm always fixing my friends' problems and listening to their drama, but they never listen to me when I need it.

I've always felt the same too, and every time I've ever worked up the courage to mention any problem, they always tried to use it to their advantage and add to their appearance.......Yet I still call them my friends for some reason :/

I think that the care for problems..should be mutual.
No matter how much drama they have in their life..they should still listen to you and help you!
We all have problems.Even if in your eyes it's really nothing. We all suffer.
I think that they need to know this. It's not fair when you hide your feelings because you feel like your friends won't listen to you.Let them know..it's your right as a friend!

I knew people who promised me the world, that they'd save me, all that.
But when it came down to the itty gritty, and they were watching me pick my life apart because of an abusive relationship, they didn't do anything. It was disgusting.
I still don't know who to trust about stuff like that anymore, because I'm so used to going through it alone. No one knows, yet everyone knows.

I can relate. I'm the one who supports everyone, so they come, let it all out, listen to advices and leave. But hey, people love their drama, and treat an annoyingly common subject as an unique apocalyptic case. You'll find someone who shuts up and simply listens to you, I'm sure of it

Communication is the ability not only to talk but to LISTEN. And it's a gift. I really wish people would understand that.

The nest thing to do is nicely tell them when you feel ignored, or when they talk too much.

Love this so much. I know how you feel... Love my friends, but to them, I'm what I like to call: The Ventalation System. Because they all vent to me about their problems.
I don't mind it, because I want to help my friends in any way I can.
I wrote a poem called Listener because that's what I am. When I try to talk about my problems and feelings, they cut me off, tell me they have to get off the phone, etc. Hope you can find someone that'll listen, because I'm still searching.

Maybe their "drama" is just as big an issue to them as your problems are to you. Are you being there for them in the same way you wish they were or are you the same as them?

people like their drama. people WANT their drama. otherwise they wouldn't surround themselves with SO MANY DAMN PEOPLE. just their way of evading their fear of what would surely be an empty and lonely life. that's all happening subconsciously though, so no one realizes this and instead bitches about something they're mostly at fault for. -.-
