This is a request my friend Vanesa asked me to do since a while back, but I never had the chance to do it because of my school homeworks and projects until the quarantine started. Then she asked me to do it as a gift for her birthday. I finished it before the official day, but I decided to upload it until today when it's her birthday.

More or less it's Imelda and Héctor, happily and patiently expecting for little Coco to arrive in this World. 😊

As always I didn't want to do it without effort and I became a bit demanding with the process. I did some drafts before passing to the final version and I added the best I could the composition and golden ratio proportions knowledge I obtained on my art lessons. My idea was to give the scene a joyful, vivacious yet peaceful and quiet atmosphere and I focused on the treatment of the ambient light, that fills the room entirely, leaving the characters a bit on contrast. Also I wanted the few of the background to represent the provincial Mexican houses of mid XX century. Many of the windows have a balcony with bars, a way of protection usual from the colony era in La Nueva España that remained till these days. I had to do a little research for the clothing and the rocking chair, to give it an unique Mexican vintage ambient. I hope my effort give the results I wanted and that I fulfilled my friend's expectations, because I really made my best. 😊
