i wanted to use alex but unlikely at his age he'll be still and show a muscle 
either way - this is not a photoshopped tattoo - it was a temporary tattoo we put on him before we shot. i think its adorable

omg...this is my ALLTIME favorite deviation ever in the history of my DA time so far...which hasnt been long....but someones gonna ply hell topping that in my opinion. He's adorable, the tattoo is just too cute, and the look on his face is enough to make and kid-lover melt. <3

and your comment on it is dead on. too bad so many "big strong boys" as they grow especially turn out to be anything but that. they become little infants screaming, "what about me, what about me!" -- behind every abusive man you'll find a pathetic infant screaming that. they're so easy to expose.

I very much want to get to that stage in my life.... But know that rushing out and making a kid right now isn't exactly the best idea in the world.
I'll get there eventually though...
On the subject of the photo though, I love every part of it. Usually I don't like it when people leave something in color in a B&W photo, but this is one of the cases where it works almost perfectly. The only thing I might try different(try being an important word, cause I dunno if it'd improve it or not... I really like this photo anyway.), would be to take the tattoo into another layer and reduce the transparency so the color/B&W difference didn't make it pop quite *so* much from his arm. Might pull it together a teeny bit. But yeah... I dunno which way I'd like it better really. It's just something I'd try.
Depth of field is perfect...... High key really works. You're a really lucky Mommy to have such a beautiful child.

i desatured the temporary tattoo some to keep it from looking too flat -so i agree with you - perhaps i should do it more?

As for desaturating the tattoo, I dunno. In a print, I think it'd be fine and I like the photo a whole lot as it is, so I dunno if it's really worth the effort of changing.

What a sweet image! If I were his mummy, I would want to have a nice Big enlargement of this! And I'd look at it every time my little boy was mischievous and forget my frustration... boy what a spolt child I'd have though.
