this is my introductory image to a series of concept images regarding plastic surgery and beauty in american culture today (see journal)....you will notice the fashion, the "face" and the flowers are all plastic.

Too bad for the placing of the mask... It kinda goes unnoticed. It could be more explicit.

I love the mask, and I love this image, it's just...wow...I mean I've babysat children who want plastic surgery, I figure, Whatever Higher Power is out there, made you the way you are for a REASON, that reason may not yet be known, but in time, it shall...so just STAY you! Remember, no one in the world is identical, think about it, if we were all beautiful, would we have all the technological advances we have today? I honestly think not. ...ok I'm done now, off in my lil Philosophical world again...great image!

you know what strickes me the most?
is that not only all is plastic, but also the plastic is making her movements impossible, as a prision...
Don't know if it was intended, but I love the way her pube looks like that of a barbie (et al) doll....l

I like this one a bit better then the second. The concept behind these and the way you pull off these shots is kind of creepy, makes me think more then I should perhaps about the topic behind it all.

The whole idea of parodying in this way the plasticness
of the way society looks at beauty is a wonderful concept!

wonderful concept, as those have said before me. i agree with the comment about the elements competing against each other, but i love the overall message.
i also love the simple color pallette. pink can be such a soft color, but is so reminiscent of all that is typically feminine...and often in a negative way. it works very well with this piece.
i can't wait to see more!

there is something to be said for " capturing" beauty and then you can always also explore concept like etc. its really fun - you can think up words or phrases or ideas and then come up with images you create to express them!

An interesting concept, and should make for a good series. I half expect to see a Barbie doll or two introduced into the series at some point...it would seem to fit somehow.
