Description i shot a zillion shots to catch the bubbles from Alex's bubble wand - and this was the only bubble that came out - it's got a gorgeous reflection of the trees

hehe, you know..
i bought myself a bubble machine 2 months ago or so
i was at a swapmeet and some this little brat playing with one
it makes all sorts of noise but the most amazing profusion of bubbles occur
specially with a bit of wind.
i went to a Lowes center after and turned it on and the whole parking lot was filled with bubbles haha ppl were like wtf
so, long story short, you've reminded me to use the damn thing as i intended: for pictures.

yes! b/c it takes TIME to get the focus right on one since they're always moving, opaque, etc - so a machine like that helps! this helped that the bubble wand made BIg bubble so they were captured easier

yes and hard to decide in split seconds which to focus on in the bubble storm and which to chose to be out of focus
i'll need to have my friend make the bubbles and just concentrate on clicking

and a trick I did - I sat and chased the bubbles in my viewfinder while someone else blew them with the wand - but then i noticed the way the wind was blowing them - and focused there until i got one and then i sat and waited at that focus let the bubbles come into the viewfinder floating naturally on their flight and then clicked until i captured one in focus

sounds like a swell idea
i was just going to stupidly manual focus in split seconds haha

yep - b/c the bubbles are moving - it's hard enough to get good clarity/focus - so you have to be still and cannot erratically chase them and click - it's too hard that way and low percentage!
