Description
The idea is not to make him edgy. I mean, the true character is ungodly dangerous and unsettling and those who do not see that, well, his personality went right over their heads.
I wanted to get to Wade's essence as a character. He's NOT considered a success by Weapon X and was locked in department K along the rest of the "failures" despite the fact his newly mutated body helped him find a way around his cancer and boosted him physically. So I wanted him to look like a discarded toy. Thrown away by an uncaring universe...
Here's some food for thought ; is Wade's tumefied body a sign of him being a victim of fate, or karma for his crimes... or both quite honestly ?
You want to know what I think the true Deadpool is like ? Outside the classic runs ? 3 short titles:
* This is how I'd wanted his personality to be in the first movie readcomiconline.to/Comic/X-Men…
* This elseworlds paints Wade in the disturbing light that should be key to his character readcomiconline.to/Comic/Deadp…
* This is what the second movie's script should have been about and how he should've been portrayed readcomiconline.to/Comic/Deadp…
And now you know why that for all the R-rating that was being touted, the movies ultimately removed the balls. I can forgive the first one (Ed Skrein as Ajax ? BRILLIANT !), but the sequel didn't have much excuse (despite Josh Brolin's very neat Cable !)... they don't even make him sound gravelly !
