where do you get your background pictures and horse pictures?

Backgrounds come from various places though they are listed under my credits in the artists comments section above ^
This horse however is my own, and the pictures are private use only. All the other images are again creditted above in the artists comments for every image.
I would like to note; that many artists who supply their images for use on DA do not like them to be used on SIM games [like; HL, LE, FP etc] because of the high rate in theft. Ask them in a note if you are unsure.

I did actually; but it seemed a cross between a manip and a drawing; cause the background is maniped; so I wasn't sure on the category to put it in to; do you think I should change it?
I've been working on her image slowly for the last couple of days actually; the images weren't fantastically in focus and she was wearing her old tack in a show; I think from back in 2001. But I think it turned out okay; I'm really pleased with her eyes! They are naturally blue [wall-eyed] I just hope I did her justice, bless her heart.

Thank you honey; gosh counting up the time.. um; if I'm working on an image to make it look perfect [the majority of the time i am], it will take about a days planning and collecting of the images. Then i work on the horses for a couple of days [usually broken up because of work], and then finally i finish on the third day. But if I were to count up hours; it would probably be approx. 10 - 12 hrs [i flap over details... o.O]

hehe damn...i usuallly finish mine in a few hours each.
With me, if I have an idea, its either now or never. If I come back a day later and start something again my mind usually goes blank.
I can't seem to plan my images, unless its a series in which I know the general direction the image is going for a while, but I have nothing solid played out...But whatever works, eh?
