OK, so Doctor Who is back... and we've had Asylum of the Daleks... about which I have deeply conflicting opinions.One thing I definitely did like, however, was the handling and protrayal of Oswin Oswald, played by companion-to-be Jenna Louise Coleman... so here's a little photomanip I did based on the character and her plight.
Well covered ground, I know, even a week after, but still...

I'd really like to see this painted or more movie poster-esque. The idea is gorgeous but the watermark(s) detract from the poster and should be more subtle.

... ahem... (whispers conspiratorial) I tend to agree with you. I thought the execution was good and emotional punch was good, but also thought that maybe the concept needed a little work... Maybe a Dalek that had taken on the personality of a person whose biomass it had used as fuel, like the Dalek in Rose, except to it's ultimate conclusion?
However, I thought there was much to praise about that scene never-the-less.

This is beautiful, it's very emotional!
I loved the episode and I'm looking forward to seeing how Oswin links in with the new companion Clara. I personally hope they're the same person, I think it would make an excellent twist and story.

The whole "Oswin is a Dalek" reveal was my favourite part of the episode, and I'm looking forward to JLC as the companion too.

I liked the episode for the most part. The only thing I didn't like was Amy and Rory's marriage.
But the reveal that Oswin was a Dalek? MIND! BLOWN!

I thought the marriage thing was very poorly mishandled. Wasn't keen on the ending either... or that the Daleks now have a PM :S
I liked the atmosphere of the piece though... and, as you say, the Oswin plot/reveal was very well executed.
