Well, I'm sure some of you might think, that this is strange... Guys, I agree.I don't even know if this is funny or tragic, but let's try to choose tragic, okay!
While painting this I thought a lot about its meaning and I came to the conclusion that I'll consider it as a Minutes to midnight-A thousand suns-crossover. So to me it's sunset on doomsday.
The role of the giantic octopus in the background is pretty obvious: It's clearly about to distroy the world. It's the incarnate apocalypse.
What I'm not so sure about is the way Mike and Chester are related to that monster.
Maybe they are like some superheros and they tried to save the world but failed and finally surrendered.
Maybe Octopussy is their pet and they distroyed the world on purpose.
I don't know. So feel free to make up your own story. I'm sure I'm gonna love all of them.

I love your color choices and the shading is so...perfect. Wow. It's also a really balanced composition, there's no dead space.
To me, I see it as though they're about to go kick some octopus ass and are posing for their final portrait...something to remember them by. Or something.

I exactly know the bad image your talking about. And believe it or not, Teresa told me to call this pic "Waiting for tentacle-rape". But as I said I want it to be tragic.
