Description

If you've seen Courage the Cowardly Dog, then you'd definitely remember this guy. King Ramses.

Man, he scared the crap out of me as a kid!! O_O

Although I'm not scared of him now as I was back then, he still creeps me out.

. . . He's standing right behind me, isn't he?

For me it was the jerky movement, creepy cg animation, and the voice that spooked me as a kid

I'm pretty sure everyone who's watched Courage the Cowardly Dog in their childhood got nightmares from watching that episode.

Plus, I'm one of the very few people who ships Courage with Shirley the Medium.

I just always thought it was interesting. A cowardly and sheep dog (or whatever breed Courage is) with a spiritual (and probably fearless) chihuahua.

It does! But seriously though. What breed of dog is Courage?

And speaking of Shirley, it's such a shame she didn't get enough screen time. I always thought she was a facinating character. All-knowing, spiritual, always punished those who defied morality, and always calling Eustice the stupid one.

Yup! She was so enjoyable to watch! Definitely Courage's go-to whenever he's dealing with the supernatural!

metalfist0113 In reply to DevilWolf9 [2017-04-30 22:00:06 +0000 UTC]

True. Ironically though, despite her morals and distaste for greed, Shirley herself is very fond of money. Though I guess I don't blame her since it's been implied that she's poor.

Wait, what am I talking about? She IS poor. Last time I checked, she lives in a trailer or something. If I was in the world of Courage the Cowardly Dog, I'd lend her money in a heartbeat!

Yup! I also love how she curses Eustace whenever he does something to piss her off. Remember when she cursed both Eustace and Muriel when the former swindled Shirley?

DevilWolf9 In reply to metalfist0113 [2017-05-01 00:44:37 +0000 UTC]

Of course!

Both were against eachother until it was lifted with Eustace taking away Muriel's pain.

metalfist0113 In reply to DevilWolf9 [2017-05-01 01:08:29 +0000 UTC]

True, but Eustace really only did it because Courage tricked him into doing so.

If I had to pick my favorite villain of the show, it's probably either the cruel veterinarian who sent Courage's parents to the moon or Mad Dog.

Oh god, the feels of that episode!

I'm not sure which was my favorite, but I remember a lot of them!

"Perfect"
"King Ramses Curse"
"The Mask"

However, I LOVED "Last of the Star Makers"

metalfist0113 In reply to DevilWolf9 [2017-05-01 01:39:25 +0000 UTC]

The perfectionist episode at first really didn't connect with me when I was younger. However, when I watched it again yesterday, it REALLY connected with me. It tells a very good moral to the viewers. That moral being that while you should be the best you can be, you shouldn't try to be perfect to the point where you're trying to be someone your not. Plus, the villain of that episode reminded me of the mental mindset I used to have back then. The mindset where the perfectionist inside you breaks you down emotionally until you just can't take it anymore. Actually now that I think about it, I think the perfectionist is my favorite villain of the show.

DevilWolf9 In reply to metalfist0113 [2017-05-01 01:42:37 +0000 UTC]

Good choice! I thought of the same thing too!

Dr.Zalos was another well thought out villain, showing the bad sides of depression and emptiness while struggling to fill the void.

metalfist0113 In reply to DevilWolf9 [2017-05-01 02:05:28 +0000 UTC]

Ik how that feels. But Perfectionist is the most unique villain in my opinion, because unlike all of the other villains in the show, she's not actually a real person. She's just a figment of Courage's imagination. And after watching her episode again after a long time, I got hit in the head by a major case of deja vu.

Thanks! And like I said before, I can really connect with that since I know what it's like trying to be perfect to the point where I emotionally break myself. But now I'm not like that anymore. Now I'm zen.

metalfist0113 In reply to DevilWolf9 [2017-05-01 16:55:54 +0000 UTC]

Yesterday my brother asked me why I don't draw humans more often than anthro's and that I should draw said humans more often. To him, I said this: "Because I'd rather draw characters that are unique, colorful, and vibrant, and that have more details that make them stand out more as a character, rather than draw characters that are your generic, dull, everyday white guy." Now I'm no misanthrope, hater of all mankind, but that's just my opinion on the whole anthro's over humans thing.
