During one of my many mental ramblings and rants (mostly about me being a creepy daydreamer), I had this weird story idea. It occurred to me that everybody makes a big deal out of dinosaurs, you mention the name in a crowded room you’ll get a few people to turn there heads. But mention a prehistoric that isn’t a dinosaur (or in some cases from the Ice Age) and 9 times out of 10 people will give you a funny look and will even go as far as to ignore you. I really peeves me as there as there are many interesting prehistoric animals outside of dinosaurs that no one cares about.
So my mind immediately began imagining the idea that some one did a tv series about gorganopsids, a therapsid or mammal like reptile from the late Permian that was the first animal to evolve sabor teeth and the largest land animal to evolve thus far till the dinosaurs came around. Here is not only a large and major predators of the time but it also lived during one of the worst mass extinctions to ever take place where 90% of life died off. Tell me that wouldn’t make fore an interesting drama.
But then it occurred that this could be an interesting idea and decided that some day I’ll write such a story focusing on a gorganosid taking on the trails and strife during a major mass extinction. However, rather then make them simple dumb animals, I’d thought it be cool to have them be like Warrior cat style, with personalities, codes and honor. Hence why I came up with the title: Law by Fang. I don’t know if and when I’ll get around to this idea but hey enjoy the image.
So this was a bit of fun to draw, those stripes turned out really cool and the green of her eye really contrasts with the browns of her pelt.
Note that the background is not my own work but something I got online, I didn’t want to draw up the background because I was feeling lazy.
