Dewey came to my life when I was 13. I made a horror story for him. He was supposed to be a demon trapped in the body of a middle-aged Totodile. In 2009 I started drawing Totodile sketches and made some funny comic strips. In fact, I liked it so much that I completely changed Dewey's character. When I introduced him on DeviantART in 2010 I made him a regular 26 year old (now 30) Totodile with green eyes and gave him a corky and choleric personality. Then I announced to make his real story a comic. I´m sorry to say this, but it won´t happen. I was young when I made the story and I found out that it´s pretty uninspired (basic Silent Hill shit) and there are many plot holes. And our "Fredo The Ant" series kinda happened and we're very successful with it. It was a real surprise. I can't keep working on it and start the comic as a side project. And I still have a job, you know. So Dewey stays the silly and grumphy Totodile we all know. It's better that way, believe me.P.S. I made this on the 3DS in 2013. His drawing style hasn't changed since then.

Totodile is one of my all time favorite Pokemon. I fell in love with him when I first saw him in Johto in 2000 when I was like 7 years old. As for this art, the way he drew this can definitely can be part of a comic series or a cartoon. In this pic, he expresses different emotions and characteristics that give Totodile different personalities that people can relate to. The only thing that I didn't like was Totodile was not as bright, particularly the blue color(s), but that's what make it look so original. There is a just a little brightness mixed with darkness and that makes it, as I said, look great for a cartoon so overall it's a really great and super cute drawing. This is a drawing that can inspire me to try and draw my own style of Pokemon even though my hand drawing skills are not good at all. I would love to draw Pokemon especially Totodile so hopefully someday I'll get at good at drawing, because it's something I've always wanted to be good at.
