Description I wanted to do a more simple joy-driven drawing exploring the military dress of one of the cultures of my fantasy universe.

And because some of you want to know more about the universe here is a little I wrote on Stonemen Nobles

The only way to get anywhere in life in any sub-culture of Stonemen is fighting. You can be a businessman, you can be wealthy, but you wont be nearly respected. If you planned on not dieing which is generally what the wealthy and successful fear, then you won't want to go into battle. It's simply not in everyone's persona to be a warrior, which causes for some to escape into Sang for a chance at a non-violent life (which is cultural taboo).
After professional warrior, the second most respected job is a smith, or craftsman that makes weapons and armour, this also includes a goldsmith and jeweller that makes things for the chief and nobles. The Jewelers are honoured because they promote the tribe with their work by decorating the nobility (people who represent the tribe). The honour associated with decorating your chief causes for great inspiration and artwork.
Weapon and armourers are a bit more obvIf you are to pursue a non-violent life, doing things that increase the tribe's reputation, as well as serving well nobility and especially the Chief or Grey-hair is best.ious.
Nobility takes a different tone in Stones, though culture varies from tribe to tribe and sub-tribe and so-on. Nobles only achieve their position (they are not born into it) through warfare. True that being born into a noble family will improve your lot in life, it is not as simple as being born. You must work for your title and this involves bloodshed, deeds on the battlefield, being honourable, fair, and displaying attributes associated with the archedeity and hero-god Rix will get you far. Not only with wealth and honour, but in bed as well. Growing old while doing these things will grant you the highest regard in Stonemen culture.
Nobility will earn you all the things any noble of another culture would have responsibility of, and enjoy. Command, a bodyguard on the field of battle, and responsibilities within the tribe. You may eventually join the chief's own bodyguard, or his council. Or if an heir is unsuitable, then you may become chief yourself.

ย Now this looks like a fellow that won more than his share of fights and picked up a handsome profit from every one of them!ย

ย Well if he starts running into difficulty chewing his meat he can always resort to a time-honoured expedient and "tickle some ivories" from his latest fallen challenger - waste not, want not!ย ย

Besides me being unable to tell what armor that is the picture is wonderfully well drawn.

Ah thanks for clearing that up, It was a little confusing because it looked like it had designs that showed mallie or scale (Both are used in that kind of style of drawing them) but they way it bunched up around the edges and looked almost fluffy made me think it was meant to represent linen.
