I actually painted this about a week ago, but wasn't able to upload it due to quite a busy week xDI decided to celebrate my birthday by making this as a gift for you.
Totally makes sense, doesn't it? xD
It was also a great way to keep practicing painting females, on which i really am inexperienced considering this is my second time painting one.
I think i'll try my hand at fanart for a while, this first one alone taught me a lot because i had to implement composition and think of a suitable color palette, not to mention a portrait style background (i initially had absolutely no idea on how to tackle that, drawing a background with no actual background to keep the portrait feeling)
I personally think i have once again improved since my last work, and am quite satisfied with the general outcome, especially its visual impact and color scheme.
Even though there are quite a few things i'm not too satisfied with, but Rome wasn't built in a day and i already consider this work another step forward to my artistic skills goal, so all things considered i can say i'm satisfied.
This will be a great form of practice to get ready for drawing Mark of Darkness on September, drawing more complete works and painting a wide variety of characters to further extend my comfort zone by pushing it some more!
Feel free to comment and tell me about what other character you'd like me to paint, i have always tried to avoid drawing any fanart because i didn't want Mark of Darkness to be subconsciously influenced by any other already existing character, but since Mark of Darkness pretty much has its own style and form now, i think it's safe to focus on expanding my visual vocabulary by studying other characters and practicing painting them.

Purtroppo non ho potuto e tutt'ora non riesco a dedicarmi al disegno quanto vorrei perchè c'è tantissimo altro lavoro da fare nella creazione del mondo per il fumetto e la storia (sto studiando come un matto un po di cose da geologia a storia a.. troppe cose ahah), ma se tutto continua ad andare bene entro breve dovrei riuscire finalmente a poter riprendere il disegno senza distrarmi con studi vari in altri campi!
Ma soprattutto avevo fatto una certa promessa ad una certa persona su Dragonslair, non l'ho dimenticata e mai lo farò

Anch'io purtroppo ho sempre meno tempo da dedicare al forum e alle community, ma ogni tanto sento Niji, che ora vive a Londra, e Mia, qui su DA. Ho postato qualche lavoretto su Dragonslair qualche mese fa ma non riesco più a seguire regolarmente. Tra disegno, lavoro, studio e serie tv (la mia "nuova" passione), non ho tempo di far nulla!
Ora ho deciso di imparare ad usare l'acquerello e mi sono ritagliata qualche ora alla settimana anche per quello. Impazzirò!!
Sono contentissima di risentirti e seguirò i tuoi aggiornamenti!!

Fai benissimo a dedicare tempo all'acquerello nonostante non abbia molto tempo, dopotutto il tempo è fatto per essere speso per quello che piace e fino all'ultimo secondo!
Prima o poi anche a me piacerebbe fare qualcosa con strumenti tradizionali, eliminano la sensazione di "artificiale" che c'è con il digitale e hanno un'impronta più.. tangibile, c'è un collegamento più diretto con i propri lavori
Comunque penso sia sottinteso ma i tuoi lavori sono ottimi come sempre, anche se onestamente non mi ricordavo fossero così.. pieni di vita e spontaneità!
Seguirò con piacere anch'io le novità

Secondo me è impossibile che succede. Ognuno di noi ha la propria visione del mondo, e ciò che disegnamo e che leggiamo ci fa piacere. E per le influenze, più spesso ci fanno venire in mente cose a cui non avevamo pensato. Un esempio, quando nei fumetti si parla di personaggi che decidono di non far uso di droghe, spesso la fase della disintossicazione, con le crisi d'astinenza è saltata. Il personaggio dice 'da oggi non mi drogo più' e magicamente sta già bene. Secondo me le crisi d'astinenza sono importanti perchè creano conflitto e mettono in luce altri aspetti dei personaggi.
Come vedi non sei influenzato negativamente, semplicemente trovi lo spunto.
E poi secondo me, se si notano delle influenze, si deve accoglierle e lavorarci sopra per farle diventare qualcosa di originale piùttosto che scappare da una fonte di ispirazione.
