no man, grading leans toward what a person likes way more than what is done correctly and what is not.

looks to me that you used a pixelated image, perhaps a gif?

you shouldn't use burn or dodge for coloring, now that you have the color of the hair, the highlights are more saturated and brighter, if the base color is already on at the most of its saturation, then just make it brighter.

shadows for most materials are proressively desaturating, and obviously going less bright as well.

if you wanna learn how to shade, you gotta understand shapes, basically means you have know how to draw .

looking at what you want to draw is not all that bad, but since you are just getting started, don't draw off something already stilyzed (cartoony, etc.), draw off real life. Don't forget to sketch loose. draw softly, using guide lines, then when you are sure of what you want make a harder stroke.

ok, many people misunderstand the meaning of sketching, so I'm gonna try to explain it to you.

you should draw like the image one, with softer srokes, precision doesn't matter at this point.

then using what you have as a guide, make harder strokes, defining until you have something like image 3.

Hope it helps, practice, that is the key.

i'd say ummm 78 cuz it's a little pixleated around the lines... but
that shows on a lot of my work too like my avitars. ( it's really hard
to get rid of unless u save it in a different format )

ooh. pretty good I like how you did the wings I think some more color experimentation could be in order, and the shading is...well... not there, but as it is a disney character, and everything is flat tone, or 2-cell toned, I must give you credit , cept for the fact that you did the hair differently I also like the color overlay on the wings, so you didn't just change everything under the wings to a blue, you made it a mix of colors to make it seem actually transparent/translucent. I would have smoothed the edges somehow, but I like the absence of white specs where edges meet color and so on. I'd give you..an 85-88 so prolly 86 Good job

Thank you thank you. I'm... not good with shadeing... just never works ou the way i want it too, i am experamenting a little bit with shadeing but.... blahh! now when it comes to hair i am good at shadeing it, i know a good trick that make hair look good 90% of the time if done right. oh and the wings are translucent. ^.^ infact the wings are apart of a diffent picture compleatly i made them to glow and set them on top and then toyed around with it till i could see though them, makes her wings easy. Well back to toying with shadeing... ohh boy... time to ruin another fine picture....
