Because Okamiden came out and I am a hopefless fangirl and AM SO HAPPY OMGOMGAAHHHH. I swear if it wasn't for college assignments and prepping for AnimeNEXT I WOULD BE PLAYING THIS GAME EVERY MOMENT OF THE DAY AHHH.yeah, I am excited, haha.
I also did to as an entry to an Okamiden contest Capcom is running, which ends tomorrow. [NO PRESSURE!] I am truly amazed I got this done so fast... woo? I doubt I'll win [winners get a plushie and/or copy of the game.] but I had fun doing it, and I may either go back and touch it up a bit or have it as a print come AnimeNEXT anyways. :3Characters © Capcom

I love okamiden so far and have actually started a fan art drawing of my own.
But if I may offer a little critique, Momma Amaterasu's paw is awkwardly angled for the direction her leg is going.
aside from that, well done, and chibiterasu is so kawaii~

traditionally how it's drawn is the disc itself is white with the flames colored.

Amaterasu's Solar disk (game wise) is a dark olive-green color with flames coming out of it. The flame direction is right though, good job though.

in the game, yes, in official artwork, not always. it is sometimes depicted as a white orb with flames around it, mimicking the sun itself, since Amaterasu is a Sun Goddess and all.

it is pretty darn adorable from what I have seen. I barely did anything in my game though, life is too busy being busy for me to enjoy it. haha... But yeah, tis funnerific from what little I have seen/heard so far. DO NOT GROW UP, BEING AN ADULT IS LAME AND YOU HAVE NO FREE TIME. *sob*
