I'm trying to improve my art ... in case it doesn't show LOL. Sometimes I look at things other people draw and just don't feel I'm good enough, but IT'S NOT IN A BAD WAY. I pretty much dedicate my life for art so nothing can make me stop drawing. NOTHING'S GONNA BRING ME DOWN LOLOLO Seeing artists that are better than me actually triggers something in me that says "Dood you just wait, I'll practice and get better and then I'm gonna pwn you" and it makes me try harder with my own art and want to become a srsly awezum artist every1 admirez. Soooo I concentrate a lot on anatomy and shading and less on designs lulz. That's why all my dragons look so boring these days XDBla bla bla THIS WAS GOOD PRACTICE yeah. I kinda like how it turned out.

Great work on the scaling! I like creatures with armor-like plate scales. And on top of that, it looks like it could be real too; not too many details and unnecessary thingies, like a lot of dragons on deviantart seem to have these days.
And I adore good sketches ^^ Sometimes I find them better than finished pieces. But that's just me.

'Armor-like plate scales' as you call them are the best kind of scales in my opinion<3 Too small and detailed scales easily happens make something look cluttered.
You're not the only one to think so xD My sister does too, all the time, and even I do sometimes.

You are absolutely right. A lot of dragon artists plant thousands of tiny scales on their dragons without any knowledge of how to actually wrap them around the body, which makes the creature look so crowded O-o But it seems you have no trouble with that, seeing this awesome scaling-job of yours ^^

Yes sadly that happens sometimes. The design might be great otherwise but bad scales can ruin it :< I've practiced. I used to draw absolutely horrible scales too once, when I didn't have a clue about how to place them xD
