Description

When did I start this painting? I honestly think it was in 2019, but I am not sure. It was long ago though, but I abandoned it, came back to it a few times because I still liked it but could never figure out how to fix it, it was so flat, with such boring colours and I just did not know how to make it work. However, yesterday I was bored, wanted to draw but didn't know what, so I opened up this file and thought, maybe I could fix it now? And I dare say I could! I made a big difference to it and actually decently happy with it. I decided not to save over the original psd file, and kept what I started with so I could share it, so look at this mess I had to work with: sta.sh/01iaka2r6wj7

Its not awful, but it was so flat and just... not very eye catching at all. I just never managed to get it right. But this proves that I have improved, by be being able to find a way to add colour, lighting and shading to my paintings. I really enjoyed doing this and who knows, maybe I will return to other unfinished paintings?

Also, if anyone here has followed me since my previous account, yes, this is Aki! I haven't drawn him in ages, but he still has a special place in my heart. I dont think I ever submitted this design of him, as he did go through some design changes when I made this account, simply because I didnt want anyone to easily see it was me, I wanted a new start at that time, not that there was anyone who cared about me or anything, I was just in a bad place and needed a restart. So in short, Aki got a full rework and he was just barely recognisable, but I soon became unhappy with the design and remade his design - the reference for his current design is out on my toyhouse, but dont think I ever uploaded it here - need to remake his reference either way as apparently I did not know what maned wolves look like when I made it.
