Description A sort of continuation to the last MalMon (pre-CrossLink Elasti-Woman ) where Brielle is keeping up her pursuit of Strike, waiting for the villain to get clear of any populated areas of the city before confronting her.

CrossLink: Lesson Hard LearnedA thick, immaculately organized scrapbook sat open on an ornate wood desk in Brielle's master suite. Reflected in the wall-to-ceiling mirrors along one side the desk, its chair, and a stained-glass lamp set on the surface were alone in the barren room. After acquiring her abilities she'd donated all the furnishings to a local re-store. As the second largest space in her condo it had become her at-home practice area, allowing her ample square footage to perfect her elastic skills then later, shapeshifting.
Normally she kept the album locked in a floor safe concealed in the corner of the linen closet. Recent events had made her nostalgic, prompting her to dig it out. The lamp's beaded pull cord stretched to the scrapbook, turning the page. She grimaced.
Neatly glued to the paper a news clipping emblazoned with an all-caps headline stared up at her: "RUBBER WOMAN LATEST STRIKE VICTIM". Did they really have to make it sound like I was some sex doll? she sighed. The photo below the e

Through a bit of coincidence I was getting ready to submit Lesson Hard Learned when TheMightyM0 submitted an image of his OC Rubber Bullet getting her glide on. (RB Glider ). So naturally I had to find an opportunity to draw something for Brielle.

I had a lot of fun with the background. And a heck of a time deciding how to shade Brielle. I rarely draw characters where they're supposed to be mostly in shadow. I think she turned out rather well.

This looks great! The thing that has me most impressed is the perspective on the background - you have done a great job of making it look like its being viewed through a fish-eye lense to give a wider angle. Very cool! Also glad I could provide a little bit of inspiration for the picture, it turned out really well here!

I love drawing perspective! Though I did break the rules a bit on the bottom of the drawing trying to give it a sense of movement.

(I know a lot of artists don't like drawing perspective. I really enjoy the mathematical precision of it.)

I can understand that for sure! There's a lot to be said for measuring it all out and making things look right, I really enjoy that too. I'm not good at it by any means like you are but it is fun!

Would it come off as bragging if I said I eyeballed it?

(I have just drawn so much of it I felt pretty confident and there was a major time crunch.  )

No, I get that. In fact most of the time I think that measuring is good but ultimately you have to just go with what looks right in the end.

I wonder if putty and rubber gliding have different momentums in the velocity and speed. Also, I have to wonder if elongating webbed fingers for extra wings can help bring levity in flight, especially when being carried by the wind.

I had the thought that she uses her hands to make fine adjustments in her direction.

Gotcha. The stingers from the stingray (the underwater gliding species), they have a way of navigating in the water, having a better grasp in the currents. If Pre-CL’s hands get inspired with the stinger shape, with a bit of flattening to act doubly as flaps (inspired by the ones from the plane wings), she could dive down, then sweep up the sky. I definitely agree with you on the hands providing different adjustments for navigation.
