Description
A bit of familiarity here, from our "Heart Of Hush" storyline. For most of Dustin's Detective & Batman covers, he draws a loose prelim of it in pencil before he goes in and does his watercolor magic. This was one such prelim that a person bought and then commissioned me to give it a go at inking.Pencils -

aaaaaah i need to own Hush, it was too great. Is Heart of Hush any good? Worth grabbing or reading?
(p.s.:ANd batman with scruff is my new favorite love, that was one of my favorite detail out of Hush

The original Hush story was a cool excuse to watch Jim Lee go wild drawing all sorts of Bat villains. In Heart Of Hush, you get a nice dark backstory to Hush.

Back story eh? That would be interesting... Even tho they explain most of opperation Hush in the first, i thought they were still a few suspicions that were left out.
Well i deffinetly need to read Heart of Hush sometime soon.

The anatomy on Batman reminds me a lot of Stelfreeze work. This piece is freakin' awesome.

Thanks. Yeah I tend to ink clean, and he tends to ink himself messy. And sometimes the pieces meet in the middle.

The whole thing is beautiful but those lineweights you've got going on in the shredded ribbons from Hush's mask are insanely good. Especially the scraps Batman is clutching up at the top.

Your inks are inspiring. There's a beautiful animated fluidity you don't see too much in super hero books...mostly because few can pull it off like you do, I would imagine.
