Great work on making these characters look animated without looking too Bruce Timm.

That's the real struggle for me. No doubt am hugely influenced by him, but am still trying to toss a lil bit of me in the drawings as well.

Your inking skill is really something. The lines are so clean, I always have my hands shake when inking, and the lines, you know. How do I fix that?

dfridolfs In reply to splendidriver [2008-07-19 17:26:28 +0000 UTC]

Honestly, every page is a new adventure. I have just as many times I really hate how a line comes out, rather than like it. It's a bit of hit and miss. But I think it's just the more you do it, the more comfortable you get at it. Try loosening up and actually sketch with a pen rather than a pencil. Look towards the end of the stroke you make, rather than the beginning...where you're going to rather than coming from. Just different perspectives.

Heavier pens? lol... kidding.

Practice, as always... the more comfortable you get with inking the less you will shake. Though I'm sure there could be a million reasons and solutions...

Btw, looks great D! I know what you mean about cramming everyone in, its my worst nightmare, you pulled it off well...
