So awhile back - I mean AWHILE back - I was at a party hosted by my brother and his wife. We spent much of the evening playing a forever evolving game of "Apples to Apples," which I won decisively and without mercy.
When I got home, I realized that I had put the cards I'd won in my shirt pocket and taken them home with me. "Spoils of war," I chuckled to myself. So I put them aside before stumbling into bed, making a mental note to return them. The next day, they had vanished.
Today I found them, in my art supply box. I don't know how they got there.
