The Project...Day 35 - Real Chicks Build Shit

This is Jamie, one of several female apprentices whom I've worked with in the scene shop over the years. Right now she's turning a bead foam column capitol on our freq-drive controlled wood lathe. She's never used a lathe before, but that doesn't even slow her down.
If I want a shop project to be a guaranteed success, I just assign it to her and then ask, "You got this, 'cause I can get one of the girls to help you out..."
One could roast marshmallows off of that glare.

Gotta love a girl who is not afraid to get her hands dirty and get some work done!

Not yet, she just started the project yesterday. Everything iss carved out as of today, just a little bit more trim work to do on the capitols/bases. We will probably be setting them aside for a couple of weeks, until we have room to lay out the very large flats they attach to.
