I like your drawing of the original T-shirt image.
When I first saw the "Gar Trek" T-shirt in my Garfield Stuff catalog years ago, I wanted it (unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to acquire it since then), and I decided that I was going to expand on the parody. I even created a blog about it, which is currently dormant right now because I've been too busy to work on it, but you should check it out anyways. I'm also planning on creating a website devoted to Gar Trek and my expansion of it.
Anyway, if you still have the T-shirt, it's not too badly faded, you could try scanning the image into a computer and use Adobe Photoshop to retouch and restore the image, then, afterwards, you could take the image into Adobe Illustrator so that you can create a better copy of the image.

The reason I drew it was because the T-shirt had become damaged and I wanted to keep a reminder of it. That was way before I had access to a scanner or Photoshop. Don't use Photoshop much anyway, bigger fan of Painter.

Thanks...its based on a old, old, old T-Shirt I had bought at a little bookstore back in the '80's I have never seen it since, and the shirt was getting so faded I decided I wanted to draw it while I could still make out some of the details.
