"First left, then right, lose balance, regain"
The boy repeats in his head as he steadies his frame
"Go this way, now that way." They all say
And in response he only obeys
Like a lamb to the slaughter he blindly obeys
"Chug this, don't eat that!"
"Wear this, your too fat!"
Without a sound he performs
And as he slowly becomes the clay for their manipulation
He begins to exemplify their sick imaginations
Down the "runway" he struts so feeble and weak
His paper skin stretch over his glass bones, so frail and so meek
He shields his eyes from the sun's warmth and its rays
Because to the light, he has nothing to say
So he blindly wanders, day after day

This really makes me think of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. People who walk around the world in a blind reality. They walk around Earth unaware of how ignorant they really are. Great work. Amazing.

this is really pretty and kind of true. You don't really see where you're going on your path when your eyes are opened. just everyone else who's trying to make you go their way. but when you blind yourself (not literally of course) you can see where you're going.

The first thing that pops in my head id the blind-folded guy is 99% of the population today. blinded and distracted by nonsense while all the evil puppet masters control everything without anyone having the spine to question authority out of fear of being politically incorrect.

It's very light...which is odd for your work...also...this situation can be kind of a double edged sword. Walking up high with people pulling at your heals...would you really want to see it?
