On the note of the boots tho... they're halfway between three different types... Corcoran jump boots (the high steel eyes) Corcoran Field Boots (the tread) And tanker boots (the buckle/strap combo) The Infantry boots of WWII were more like work boots for the most part, excepting for a few select brances (tankers, and paratroopers). I'll tell ya tho...any INfantryman would be PROUD of that polish job tho (take it from an Infantryman

Thanks- though I could have sworn the boot style was a simple, old WW2 style, what with the double buckles at the top. If I recall, most tanker boots have one belt-like buckle that wraps around the entire length of the ankle.
Anyways, AF has always had a pretty lax policy towards boots. I've used tanker boots in the past, just because they're so easy to take on and off.

Yeah, pretty much the regs say "any round toe, black grain leather, capped or uncapped." That leaves a lot of options. I remember seeing a picture of AF Chief of Staff General Jumper riding a replica of the Wright Flyer in a pair of tanker boots. Whenever somebody gave me flack for wearing mine, I'd just pull that photo out of my wallet.

i had those boots, and well when i was younger my mom got rid of them..what a bitch. ohh well, i will have to get a new pair...nice pic by the way

Thanks! They're a pair of knock-off WW2 infantry boots I polished up to a nice glass shine. I use them for inspections and such, times when I need a good pair of boots...otherwise, they mostly sit in my closet.
