Why did you choose the date 1783? This was long after the revolution and I don't know what you're hinting at. I have some ideas but I'm not sure.

The image itself is supposed to be an image of the past (hence the fadedness and the film strip border on the top and bottom), so 1783 is meant to represent the Treaty of Paris, or the official conclusion of their relationship.
