Err... yeah. That's -supposed- to be Robin and Starfire. >.> I have problems with making characters look the way they're supposed to, remember? So let me save you the trouble of telling me that they don't look like Robin and Starfire by saying it myself: they don't look like Robin and Starfire.

This is actually for my calendar entry over at the Robin and Starfire Shrine, and my month is January so that's where the -January- part of the title comes in. It's supposed to have umm... a New Year's feel to it, but it totally doesn't feel New Years-ish. Haha... so much for that, huh? I was aiming to get a New Years feel to it by CG-ing it and combining it with like a winter/New Years picture of Japan, but since I obviously can't CG with a colorblind computer, this option will be a no-no. *keels over and dies*

I'll try using color pencils for this though, and if I'm pressed for time, I'm using PS brushes for Starfire's kimono pattern. Ah well... yeah... having a deadline sucks ass-crack. >< Especially cuz my life's really busy right now. Whew... second sem... here I come. Ooh... getting off topic, but yeah... this will be the first of my works that I'll be *cough-cough* attempting *cough-cough* to *spasm* color. *spasm* x.X

On Robin: Robin's a loser! >< He's hecka hard to draw as it is. And then his frikin' guy kimono was a biatch to draw! Referencing Kenshin only half works. If you don't have anything else to go by, which was my situation, you gotta wing it from bloody imagination. And trust me, I don't own a lot of that. If any of you all would like to lend me some or know where I can buy some, lemme know.

On Starfire: I love her hair even though it's like messy and kinda ugly-looking. It's my pride and joy. Haha... I hate her flip-flops though. They're a little off. Or maybe it's just me. *sigh* Must do something about that kimono though. *digs through brain for good kimono pattern* Cheating and using PS brushes for the pattern is really my last resort. Boo! ><

Haha... long rant, but whatever. Hope to get this colored soon. I got an extension on this project but only like another week's worth, which really isn't enough for my slow arse. So I must scurry to meet the deadline. *scurry-scurry* @_@ I hope it doesn't come out ugly. I wouldn't mind tips though, and if anyone's interested in doing a coloring job for me (without pay... haha... sorry, I'm like way beyond poor-ness) if I can't get the coloring down (cuz I've never used traditional mediums before), lemme know.
