On account of Speedy saving Robin's life and Robin returning the favor by obliterating evildoers with one of Plankton's devices, they decided that this rivalry was ridiculous and they started to form a friendship.

Robin: Well, right to he's relieving the tension in my wings.

Speedy: I thought this rivalry we had was getting kinda old, so we decided that we couldn't be rivals forever and ended the rivalry right then and there. And now we're friends!
