J'aime aussi beaucoup cet animal, il y a un "trophée" de ses bois au château de Cheverny, c'est quand même vraiment impressionnant Oo

Oui, les bois du mégaloceros furent les plus grandes jamais produites par un cervidé. J'aurais bien aimé en voir un en vie.

Yes, and for pnce it was probably not humans fault (at least not alone) climatic change. Irsh elks probably couyld not live in debnse forests, because of the size of their antlers. They got stuck.

Yes, Researches often guess why the deer simplydid not adapt the antlers to new conditions. In fact, the disparition remains a mystery - like the death of all others great mamals that died out at the same time.
