Description
Araniella cucurbitina (or Araniella opisthographa, maybe) on Cercis siliquastrum flower.
One of my favorite spiders, so colorful and delicate.
You may have seen this spider already, although its color and tiny size usually offer a great camouflage on the flowers, thus making it hard to find (this one chose the wrong flower, though!).
Shot in the South of France last year, in April.
This one is a male, as you can tell thanks to the enlarged pedipalps with their distinctive "boxing gloves" shape.
