Hi there,finally finished another Pokémon aceo.
This picture is dedicated to all of you who - just like me - spent hours of fishing in the first pokémon games, expecting something better than stupid magikarp again and again.

Holy crap, this is so beautiful! I love that you varied their colors, and the top-down perspective is very nicely done, although one of the horns looks more like a pearl hehe. The details in the flowers and petals, and ripples of the water, it's just all very graceful

Since I'm getting back into art and experiencing with different mediums, I find I still like watercolour the best and it remains my favourite (not like acryllic, it hates me). I just love the quality and I think it fits with the fantasical world of Pokemon.
Also, I only ever kept one magikarp and it never did any good.

My computer broke so I can't really upload new artwork and besides, I may love watercolour but I don't think I'm good with it. 
And no, I have never played the newer Pokemon games because I don't have the means to play it. I did get a gameboy when I was a teenager and played the fire one for a long time so I heard the music even when it was turned off. Even my sister heard it one time. Scary.
My Markicarp was so useless I didn't even bother putting it into battle, I used an exp sharing stone until quiting and putting it into a daycare. I think it only knew splash so it was a hopeless cause.

Can't complain! My jobs are keeping me busy, so I haven't had much time to draw for a while. Still figuring out that balance

I see. Maybe this might even be a good sign, since my best motivation for drawing is being really stressed out by work and people. So maybe time is kind of peaceful for you right now?

This is true! I tend to work better when I have time limits. I just need to carve out time for art, and stick to it! The same way I have a schedule for my violin practice time, and of course for work.
I actually thought you were a native English speaker, and did not realize you are from Germany. Your English is perfect. I was born here in the States, but my family is from Poland. Europe is very beautiful -- I wish I could visit more often. I go to see extended family there about every 10 years.

Well, in Pokémon GO you need many many Magikarp to get a Gyarados. But in the regular games one is enough and all the others are just annoying if you try to catch something else.
