Let's face it...if you have a heartbeat, you're probably familiar with this lovely leading lady of Horror. Well, Elvira is a legend and she was one of my first crushes when I was a kid. I used to draw her, had one of the movie posters for Elvira: Mistress of the Dark on my wall, and if I was older, would've probably drank Coors beer simply because she said to. Either way, flash forward twenty years and she's the featured guest at the latest horror convention I was on. Needless to say, I HAD to do a piece specifically for her.When I gave her the prints, she was super happy about them, had me sign a copy for her, and gave me a big hug. She's still as gorgeous as ever and extremely friendly. We talked a few times throughout the weekend, and she even signed some stuff for me (including one of these prints for my own keepsake!) as well. I felt stupid later, because I didn't think to get any pics with her. I never want to be annoying at these things, so I often don't get pics with celebs. Oh well, let me know what you think of the piece. I had a blast doing it.

Thank you so much! She was there as Elvira, but was only in costume Friday and Saturday...Sunday she was Cassandra, due to her having to leave directly after the show for a flight.

That throne has such amazing intricate detail, and it all fits together so well. Totally suiting for the Mistress of the Dark.
I've not met many...but you'd be surprised at how down to earth the famous are. Authors, specifically. You ever seen Stephen King and David Cronenberg in the flesh? Hilarious and intriguing to listen to.

when i met her her manager or whatever she was was a bitch. i got her to sign my original drawing but wasnt paying attention. she signed it elvira. i was kinda pissed about that. i could have wrote elvira on it. fuckin waste of money if you ask me. i tried to get a pic taken with her and she declined saying she doesnt do that unless i got the professional pic. i must have caught her on an off day.

Was her assistant half man/half woman? Either way, she was in a great mood the entire weekend, that sucks about her being a bitch...or less than friendly when you met her.

i think she was. Elvira was being cool except for the getting a pic taken with her and not signing her real name. the she beast assistant would jump in and wouldnt let elvira say anything and give the fans nasty attitude. i hope she got new help after that cause god damn i was about to stop being a fan of elviras because of it.

Nope, she had the beastly man-ish woman with her, but they were both really nice (perhaps they were rolling around in cash together, at the hotel after the end of each day). Plus, I think that's the way she signs everything at those cons right? At least everything I saw. Elvira is her stage/character name of 25+ years, so I guess I don't really mind the "Elvira" signature. Having her sign Cassandra Peterson would almost be like meeting Jon Stewart and having him sign Jon Leibowitz. I know it's not her real name, but it's whatever.
