FULL VIEW PLEASE This is the first colored illustration for my upcoming children's book Tales From Honoville Falls. The book has been reviewed, edited, re-reviewed and picked up by the Children's Literary Agency. I'm currently compiling all of the poetry and putting it in the final order to be shopped. *crossing fingers* However, the editor said to leave the illustrations out because publishers don't want to see them, and in the long run, have the final say in who DOES illustrate it. I'm not into the idea of somebody else drawing my shit, so I've decided to include a couple fully colored examples of my work along with the pdf file. Just so they can at least get an idea of what I'll bring to the table. I'll put a b&w pic in there also. Either way, I hope you enjoy this, as I'll be doing a few more. Toodles.

Good luck with the publishers. I hope you get to keep your illustrations. I think if anyone else did them, it would completly change the feel of the book.

i hope you get to illustrate it. i've researched writing and illustrating before and its ridiculous how they are viewed as two entirely seperate things. publishers have all the control.
if i ever illustrate i'd want to do it like you, writing the words and doing the pictures, but if i decide to be an illustrator and sign up with a publisher, i'd have to do drawings for whatever shit books they threw my way.
maybe one day i'll be famous enough that i'll call the shots hehe.
