Absolutely beautiful. One of my favourite places yet I've not managed to get a sky as good as yours yet. Every time I pass by Stonehenge it always seems to be grey.

Keep passing. I was passing on this one. And the sky was good so I stumped an entrance fee.

Thanks. The clouds flow from the stones.

The famous old rocks. You got the subject of wonder, man and the weather to support you fully. I like everything about this photo. I'd love it more if it the structure was place in the middle. Nevertheless, awesome work.

What an incredible sky. I like the grainy look of this shot, and the high contrast works well. Beautiful.

Thanks. I am going to rework as the grain is a little too over the top. Especially when printed.

I don't know. I love photo's of Stonehenge, but this just doesn't grab me and I can't really put my finger on why. Sorry. Maybe it's just a personal preference thing. Have you got a version in colour?

It's a bit too gritty. I made an A3 print today and it doesn't work...so a slight tweak required. Thanks.

The high grain and the sharp contrast give the image an interesting feel. Is that a selenium finish that gives it the purple cast? I love Stonehenge and remember walking among its stones before they had to fence it in.

Now I know they can age things but HOW do they know how long it took to build when men weren't writing down a whole heap of stuff? And did it come in on budget?
Did you add grain for effect? We are seeing skys like that in Sydney at the moment but I don;t have the odd acnient monument to use as a foreground.
How close can a fotographer get to Stonehenge? Its on my list of places to visit.
