Let me ask you....
I work with architectural 3D too.....(dont know how to label it in english, but i think you understand...hehehe), and actualy i'm not satisfyied with the images level at the office i'm working....
And i think that our materials are the problem....too simple, poor.... but my manager always talks that we have no time for long renderings.....
How long a good render like yours take?
without the post production time....just the vray render...
And what your computer config?

this final render tooks about 40min at 3000px i cant remember how many machines i used to render, but i have 8 i7 on my lan.

man....our rendering at 3500px 300dpi take 40mini guess.
I'm taking some time at the office to study more complex materials and lightning techniques...
